just watched Swordfish on tv, a good movie. hugh jackman is really good-looking. but that's just a bonus.
watched that chuck and larry movie, and The Talented Mr Ripley on the plane back to sg. good shows too. ah, i'm becoming a movie bum. heh. :)
melbourne was...the usual. been there a couple of times for the years when my sister was studying there. the eratic weather, the beautiful skies, the cold winds, the beating sun. i think i'll miss those. especially the blue in the sky, and the pretty clouds in them. we went on day-tours, to the great ocean road, where we saw the 12 apostles (and the million flies which annoyed us much) and the london bridge, and other landforms which reminded me of my geography textbook in my secondary school years. (i shook off the frightful hand-drawn images and was able to enjoy the views, thankfully.) we sat the Puffing Billy, an old train that still has its runs in 'preservation of melbourne's heritage', so the ticket says. it was cool, we sat on the ledge with our legs hanging out. and by 'cool' i mean literally; the winds were cold, such that our limbs became frozen and near numb by the time we got off, haha. i'll upload photos another time.
there was the day when my sisters and i spent the day together, where we talked about almost everything that was bugging us, and 'illegal' stuffs we wanted to do...like tattoos. not that i wanted one, but the question was thrown at me anyways. i said i'd consider tattooing a rabbit's nose on mine. and stick my sister's fake eyelashes on my face as whiskers. she suggested dyeing my hair white to complete the look. and of course we had other bizzarre ideas not printable here...we laughed so hard we had to take our serviettes to dry our eyes. i wish we had more days like this.
it feels good to wear slippers out again. my toes can finally breathe.
i was at guardian today and let a nice-looking lady convince me to buy an organic moisturizer instead of the usual one our family uses. and as i was looking at her while she talked i was reminded of yappie and his 7++Rs and all the things we learnt about persuasive communication. AND i let myself be succumbed. by someone who probably didn't know she was employing communication tools which we had to memorise which, actually, comes pretty naturally and can be easily classified as commonsense. nevermind.
my sister said something funny today. (this is worth mentioning cos she's usually annoying.) (nah, i'm just being mean. she's funny on most days. though she tap dances on my nerves every now and then. i do my part in return, of course. we care and share this way.) so anyway she was trying to tell me how funny her fren was, but all i did was smile and nod my head. so she said "not funny ah?"
"funny la."
-pause-
"i tell u, if u were there, u'd laugh so loud everyone will stop laughing."
and then i had a flashback of when i was watching the chuck and larry movie on the plane. it was all quiet and i was having my high-pitched fits. and the other time when...
hmmm. it's late. time to sleep.
